Life is Better with Spunk Week One...

posted on: Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Today is the first week of "Life is Better with Spunk," and I am kind of excited for this new series. I have been toying with this idea for quite awhile and I decided that I would put my "brain child" into action with the launch of my new blog design.

For those of you new to Spunky Junky the "Life is Better with Spunk" challenge is a series of weekly challenges meant to spice up my life and yours!

Sometimes the challenges will serve a personal interest, other times the challenges will push you to step outside your comfort zone and help someone else.

No matter what they challenge may be it will always serve the purpose of bringing spunk to someone's life. I mean, really isn't that what life is all about anyway?

Clarification: My sis called this morning to say that she was confused. So here's the 411.
I will post a challenge on Wednesday. We all have one week to finish that challenge. The next Wednesday I post a new and exciting challenge.

okay?
This week's challenge: Get outside my friends.

Get out and run, hit the mountains for a hike, search for countless hours for that long lost golden egg, go for a bike ride, plant a garden, clean your yard (preferrably before Easter), the options are endless.

No matter rain/shine/snow get your hieney outside!

Who knows, maybe the rainy or snowing weather will help create an even more memorable experience?!

Have you ever tried to have an Easter Egg Hunt during a snow storm? Well, we were still finding eggs during the Fourth of July...

  1. Hello! I think I'm going to point to your challenges, I'm lazy and I have to change, but only one is so difficult .................. I like your weekly plans.
In Spain there is no tradition of seeking eggs and bunnies at Easter, here costaleros think, penitents and beach holiday, but to walk, arrange flowers and hanging out with friends, that is the challenge of this week I feel great!
With the help everything seems easier now that I read your suggestion I realize that I have not been on the streets or on Monday or Tuesday! Wednesday will go out with friends!
Thank you very much for sharing your blog, sorry if the terms are misspelled, use an automatic translator google the phrases are sometimes laughter, one day I'll have to learn English by myself.

  3. Ha! I hope ya'll used fake plastic eggs instead of real ones. They would be so ripe by the 4th!

Thanks for the encouragement. Instead of sending the kiddo outside to play, I might just go out with her and walk around the block with her or something along those lines.

  7. Great minds must think alike because I made a goal this week to start running. I even snagged me a double jogger stroller for my 2 little ones to run with me while my eldest is in preschool. I went yesterday and I can't tell you the feeling it was doing it. So nice! There is just something about getting out there and seeing things around you. You appreciate life so much better and you feel so much better too! I'll be going out again tomorrow! Thanks for the inspiration!!
