Back to School Sale...

Over the weekend I finally tackled opening some of the boxes from my studio. Moving is exhausting, but unpacking is unbearable. Sadly, our new house is lacking a space suitable for me to call my own--a place where I can let my creative juices flow, while not having to worry about two-year-old grabby hands sneaking away with my scissors and buttons.  

For the time being a small part of the basement has become mine. Most days I have to fight Brecken for the space and with pre-school starting soon I may actually get a few hours all to myself. In honor of my upcoming freedom I am celebrating with all of you! Last season's items are now up for grabs at 50-70% off their retail value. Princess Pea Photo Shoot

I have some exciting news.

So exciting in fact that it has taken all the self-control I possess not to pee my pants.

Self-control seems to be a lost luxury for me now that I am seven months pregnant.... 

But ya'll sense my excitement, right?

A full-blown magazine with hot fashion tips galore and jaw-dropping models!

I'm kind of blown away right now.

A few months ago I was contacted about putting together some pieces for a fashion photo shoot. The shoot was for T&M Magazine #9 The Pastels Issue and you can only imagine my delight when the photographer and set designer wanted to use my hair accessories.

  

The shoot turned out better then I could ever imagine.

Tyson Vick, the amazing photographer brought such a soft and lovely feel to the set that truly captured the real beauty of the princess and the pea.

The set design was also to die for--My dear friend Jamie was the set designer and her eye for vintage touches always seems to leave me breathless.

They totally rocked the shoot, right?

And the models? holy gorgeous.

Each ring is adjustable, but I have been working with a supplier to provide high quality bands that won't leave the "green finger" and each band is powder coated for extra protection.

Unlike, most adjustable bands that are flimsy and break over time these bands are made more stiff and sturdy --think of them as an "grown-up adjustable ring."

Stamping away.....

Over the last few months I have been debating whether to buy custom stamps, or to not buy custom stamps. It's really been an agonizing process. It's almost as if I made this as big of a deal as deciding what new car to buy.

My issues cannot be explained.

When I finally gave in and got one designed I was hyperventilating the entire time, "Will I like?" "Will I hate it?" "What if it's not my vision?"

Seriously guys, I was kind of narrotic about the whole stamp thing .

So, when Cathie from ampersandity reassured me that my design would be my vision--clean lines, chevron pattern, matching fonts--my mind was eased.

I think she did a great job, don't you?

 And the handle?! Seriously, a wooden handle, with a rubber stamp--basically, all the makings of an afternoon spent stamping everything in site.

Soooo, even if you don't need a stamp, but you just want a stamp, Ampersandity is the place to go. I am now trying to talk Hunk into letting me get an address stamp, Christmas stamp, "Belong to" stamp....the list is endless.

A little too much...

I took on a little too much this week and usually when that happens it comes back to bite me in the bum cheeks.

Speaking of bum cheeks I went to the chiropractor yesterday because my pants have felt like they were hanging to one side. I should have known it would turn out bad when I used a coupon (cut out of the newspaper) to visit this (will remain nameless) establishment.

As the chiropractor performed his voodoo medicine which consisted of me holding viles of minerals to my chest, he ran his hands up and down my body mumbling, "liver, heart, lungs, pancreas, mumble. mumble. mumble." Then he had me raise my hands and squawk like a chicken.

jokes.

Once he was finished with my examination, he said, "Your lady parts aren't working right." My response, "Well, that's lovely." I would usually pay my GYNO for that type of consultation...

End result. My pants are still hanging across my left bum cheek.

Anyway.....

I took on a lot this week.

I have had a few emails asking me why all my lovelies in my farmers market booth aren't up for grabs in my etsy shop.

Answer:

I have been so busy trying to restock for the farmer's markets every week that I haven't had time to make duplicates (yet). I also decided that I would take on an additional third farmer's market every week so I am now scrambling just to shower regularly (shaving has become optional).

;)

But I pinky promise that as soon as farmer market season is over I will stock the shop with all of my lovelies. Including my oh so favorite rufflers!

So while there is no tutorial or divine words of wisdom today I will leave you with this...

My massive amount of laundry that is puked stained because Punk has found it necessary to puke on every single item of clothing today, as well as every couch cushion, every bed, every rug, and every inch of his momma's body this mornin'.

My mantra. 

I think laundry breeds on it's own...
