Jamberry Giveaway

posted on: Wednesday, September 4, 2013

Today I have an extra fun giveaway from Jamberry. Have you heard? They're the newest trend in salon-style nails. Yes, nails! They're a self-adhesive application sticker (on crack) that come without the hassle of booking an appointment or the salon price tag of $50. Each sheet is completely non-toxic, USA made, offering over 300 designs, and at least four different applications with the ability to last two-to-four weeks.

Honestly, I've been so impressed with their quality. This week alone, I've been playing in the dirt, riding horses, painting, sanding a metal locker (the locker from the dump, remember?), and not to mention the day-to-day tasks of dishes, kids, and gobs of laundry and I'm now on Day #8 and my nails still look great.

 Awesome, eh?!

Earlier this week the Jamberry Fall 2013 Collection premiered and one lucky reader will get to pick out one free nail application from that collection to try for themselves. I mean, the tribal prints alone scream ahh-mazing

And to sweeten the pot, right now when you order three sheets of Jamberry nail applications you can get a fourth set for free!

Here's how to win:

*Follow Jamberry Nails-Anna Hone Independent Consultant on Facebook (one entry)
*Visit Jamberry Nails Fall 2013 Collection and leave a comment telling which design is your favorite (one entry)
*Order any set of Jamberry nails in the next week(three entries)

CLOSED.

VinylKrazy Giveaway

posted on: Wednesday, February 13, 2013

//CLOSED// Winner Jess Brooks, you lucky lady!

If you know me then you know that I have a nasty habit of hammering holes into the walls of our home. I don't have the patience for measuring or using a level so I end up making six holes (or more...yikes) for every one hole, basically I hammer away until the picture is perfectly placed on the wall. This little habit drives John crazy when it comes to repairing the wall damage. When I found out about vinyl lettering both our worlds changed--no more hammering, hole making, wall dinging, or patchwork was required--vinyl lettering has become a win/win for all (and in this house that's a miracle)!

Today the VinylKrazy store is generous offering a $50 gift certificate to one lucky reader.

Here are a few ways to win:

//Follow the VinylKrazy facebook page (1 entry)
//Follow the VinylKrazy Pinterest boards (1 entry)
//Leave a comment telling me what you would love to do with your new vinyl lettering (1 entry)

Also, make sure to checkout the VinylKrazy facebook page for a giveaway worth $100 in FREE products (entry for this giveaway ends March 1st).

And if VinylKrazy wasn't generous enough they are currently offering 15% off your entire purchase with coupon code:  13HLWS213   and free shipping on orders over $50.

Good luck! Giveaway will end Thursday 2/21

My favorite things giveaway...

Did you happen to watch Oprah's Favorite Things this year? Ah-mazing. The lady sure knows how to shower strangers in love {and gifts}. I got kind of teary-eyed listening to the woman whose husband was a wounded warrior and because of their sacrifices was not able to give Christmas to their children and because of Oprah's generosity her kids would actually get presents this year. I can't give Tempur-Pedic beds and metallic Michael Kors shoes, but I would love to give one of you my favorite items from my shop.

Just leave a comment with what you thankful for this year.

GlassesUSA

As a young girl I was always jealous of the kids who got added attention because of their braces, glasses and inhalers. I sensed that what they had was something uniquely special--giving them a leg up in life.

One day my little sister came home with braces and then soon after glasses and for awhile I was secretly jealous of her.
As I got older I began to use her glasses as a new tool for younger sibling torture. When a fight would ensue the phrase "four eyes are better than two!"  would then begin to echo throughout the house before my Mom was called into to referee the latest drama.
Soon after I went to high school and found that glasses were no longer just a fashion statement by some, and a joke to others, but they were also a necessity to many.

After long hours of reading I found that glasses were essential to my survival through my academic years.

After years of wearing them, I finally retired my glasses after graduation.

However, in the last year or so I have seen small signs of aging hitting me in subtle ways. There are the creases by my eyes that never seem to quite fade, the ache that my back endures from laying on the floor too long, and the blurriness that sometimes clouds my once perfect vision when I try to read the words on the television which sits across the room.

Luckily, creases can be fixed with makeup, my back can be adjusted with a special mattress, and my eyes can see clearly again with the use of eyeglasses.

And luckily for me finding eyeglasses online is so simple that I no longer need to slave away in the mall for hours.

And luckily for you GlassesUSA.com makes this process easy for you too--not only do they provide the lowest prices, but they also provide 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed!
Right now you can take advantage of their awesome savings when you order glasses:

Take 30% off on any pair of prescription eyeglasses from our entire collection.
Code:SPRINGSAVINGS

Take 10% off any order of prescription glasses.
Code: Blog10

As a bonus treat make sure to also check out their virtual mirror! This tool is great for creating the perfect pair of glasses for your face!

Have fun!

Giveaway

posted on: Tuesday, November 29, 2011

After this year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Tuesday should be declared a national holiday to recuperate--
running through aisles,
standing in line for hours to get into a store,
scanning ads,
beating an old lady to the last flip waffle maker,
standing in the checkout line for 55 minutes
waiting patiently until midnight to get the best gift online,
having the computer crash at the moment of purchase--it really tires a person out.

I couldn't handle the pressure this year, you really have to mentally prepare for it, so I stayed home and slept in.

But for all of you that did brave the crowds, lines, and fanatics--I "high-five" you from afar.

I also have an exciting giveaway for ya.

Today, I am over at Southern Lovely giving away a ring from the mocha collection and a pair of mum earrings.

No lines, no fighting, no computers crashing--just leave a comment or two over at Southern Lovely and you have a chance to be the winner!

Pretty sweet deal, huh?

MT Parent Magazine and a giveaway...

posted on: Sunday, October 30, 2011

Last month I got together with some fabulous ladies to put together the "Mama's Got a New Bag" giveaway for a local magazine.

Each month, MT Parent magazine gives away a custom bag designed by Maranda Lee; within each bag is a variety of goodies that range from skin care items to accessories.

October's issue was focused on being "green."
So when I was asked to contribute to the bag I was est-at-ic!

Because of the whole "green" thang I decided I would make one of my Ruffler Headbands using organic fabric and then I coordinated it with leather feather earrings using leather scraps from my Dad's saddle shop.
This bag contains so much cute stuff. Drool worthy no less.

Now, hold onto your pants because this lovely bag with all it's goodies is up for grabs.
For Fa-ree.

The giveaway ends tomorrow (better late then never, right?) so if you want on it you have to jump on this right soon.
So head on over to the MT Parent Blog and leave a comment. And, if you don't win this bag make sure to check back at the beginning of each month on their blog to see the newest bag and goodies that you could win in the future.

Good Luck and see you in the a.m.

Can Organizer Giveaway

posted on: Thursday, October 13, 2011

My kitchen cupboards are mine fields. Whenever I open a door I can never be sure what might fall out. Our floor has seen it's fair share of broken spaghetti bottles, smashed-in tuna cans, and split cereal.

My food storage is no different. My method of organizing includes buying food at the case lot sales, leaving the said food in the case and stacking each case on one another. Then when I need something I tear at the corner of the plastic all the while trying to make sure that my makeshift stack stays in place.

We bring a whole new meaning to classy around these parts...

;)

So when the lovely ladies at CanOrganizer.com approached me about doing a giveaway I gladly jumped on board because can't we all use a little help organizing our kitchen cupboards?

(Points to self: Yes).

So here's the skinny.

I have looked at buying food storage organizing shelving, or at the very least some sort of shelving for my kitchen for a long time. My only set back has been that the before-mentioned storage often costs more then all my food--combined.

The CanOrganizer, on the other hand, is an afforable new way to organize food without breaking the bank (or sending your husband into a money induced coma).

With this system food can be easily organized, rotated, and switched out without the hassle of falling cans or toppling stacks.

Best of all, the organizers come in a variety of sizes so that they can easily fit a cupbaord, pantry, and food storage shelving.

So how would you like to win a pack of four can organizers (of any size)?

Um, yes please!

Imagine when the Husband comes home you can have him "Ooohhh and Aaaahhh" at your superb Martha Stewart organization skills.

Totally worth it right?

Here's how you can win:

*Visit CanOrganizer.com and come back and tell me what size you would use and why. (1 entry)
*Become a follower of Can Organizer on facebook (1 entry)
*All entrants must be public followers of Spunky Junky (1 entry)

And if that isn't enough right now the CanOrganizer  staff is offering 10% off your entire purchase, now through the end of the month. Just make sure to type in 'spunky' at checkout.

Good Luck!

Snowcone and Lollipop Giveaway

posted on: Wednesday, October 5, 2011

Punk's birthday is in a month.

I always feel as though I have to do something elaborate. Last year I went all out with handmade cards, party favors, and banners. I slaved away making cupcakes, food, and setting up the perfect candy buffet.

It was kind of a nightmare, or maybe I was the nightmare.....depending on who you ask. (cough, cough...Hunk).

I wish, like big time wish on a star, that I would have bought a party kit--it would have saved me time and brain cells--and probably would have been cheaper on my wallet

So, how would  like to win a FULL COLLECTION of printables for your next party?

Yeah, full collection. You'll totally make all the other mom's jealous of your amazing Martha Stewart skills.

Believe me, they will be talking about you for weeks when they see your....
coordinating invitations,
banners,
circles labels/tags,
buffet table tents,
water bottle labels,
'thank you' tags,
treat bag toppers
....and instructions.

....and you'll be a super star with your kids who may just call you really cool for making such an awesome party!

You want to know my favorite part of blogging?
What a silly question, of course you want to know.

;)

I love meeting new friends--I especially love meeting new friends that make me feel as though we have been together since we were in Pampers.
Lindsay from Lee LaLa makes me feel that way. Our emails have consisted of a lot of "Hey Girl," "Hugs n' Kisses," "Hey Chicka," "OMG YOU ROCK"....basically we have resorted to being 18-years-old again.

But isn't that what a great girlfriend is for--to always make you feel young at heart?!

So how would you like to become Lindsay's new best friend too?

Right now Lindsay is giving away $40 dollars worth of shop credit to her store.

Say what?!

Yes, you heard me right.

I'm telling you her products are a-mazing. When I received my bracelet in the mail it was love at first site. Not only is it deceivingly heavy (which is a good sign--in my book), but has the right amount of charm to give your lil' ol' wrist the right bit of oohh la la!

Here's the deets on winning:

Get Me Skinny Giveaway!

posted on: Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Before I had Punk I would work out two hours a day, eat salads for lunch, and avoid the temptation of  cupcakes, grease, and carbs.

Now that I am a Mom I have come to embrace a new lifestyle that is full of cookie eating contests and ice cream sundaes.

While I am happy and completely satisfied with where my life has taken me sometimes I wish there was a Fairy Godmother that could slim me down for important days--like going to the beach, attending a wedding, and a long overdue date night.

Well a few weeks ago my Fairy Godmother arrived. Shelby, an Independent Beauty Consultant, from It Works! approached me about reviewing one of their amazing products.

I received the Ultimate Body Applicator, which was a miracle working machine.

You can expect "ultimate" results with this amazing 45-minute body Applicator! The Ultimate Body Applicator is a non-woven cloth wrap that has been infused with a powerful, botanically-based formula to deliver maximum tightening, toning, and firming results when applied to the skin. It continuously hydrates for firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite and skin slackening. Results can be seen in as little as 45 minutes. It Works also offers many other great products in addition to the Ultimate Body Applicator to promote a healthy life, and to get you looking younger!
Now I want ya'll to meet my pooch (I'm sure I will regret posting this picture in the a.m). I have gained a little wait lately. I'm not sure if it is noticable or not, but it makes wearing clothes uncomfortable. My pants feel a little snug, my shirts seems a little too tight, and my underwear is rubbing me in all the wrong places.

yuckers ;(

This little package was the miracle worker.

So here's the downlow on the Ultimate Body Applicator:

Before putting the wrap on I body measured the desired area that wished to shrink.

I measured three different points on my body:

Three inches above my navel
Smallest area around my waist
Widest part of my hips

I learned that I have some baby making hips. Unfortunately, Punk decided not to use them to enter this world....

Once I applied the wrap I then used Seran wrap to hold it in place.

One hour later I removed the wrap and measured myself again in the same areas.

I went from...

31" to 28.5" three inches above my naval
30" to 27" around the smallest part of my waist
37" to 35" around the widest part of my hips.

Two days later....

I still measure less then my original size and maybe just maybe I will get Hunk to take me out on one of those overdue dates this week.

 mmkay, Honey???

How would you like to win your own Ultimate Body Applicator?

Here's how you can win:

-Must be a public follower of Spunky Junky (1 entry)
-Visit Shelby's Website and tell me which product is your favorite! (1 entry)
-Follow Shelby on Facebook (1 entry)

{House Guest} Little Brick House...and a giveaway!

posted on: Monday, April 4, 2011

Top of the mornin' friends! Today I want to introduce you to Kasey. Peeps, Kasey. Kasey, Peeps.

Kasey is the awesome chick behind Little Brick House. She has a pool. We will now become best friends and I will live by her pool forever and ever.

Kasey also has a brick house. Isn't it beautiful?

She loves to decorate and spunk up junk. We must have been seperated at birth? hmm.

I love how she took an old boring pantry closet and opened it up to give the room a more airy feel--the pantry also serves as a great place for displaying beautiful dishes. And check it. She took a vintage paper towl holder and converted it into a sweet storage bin for fabric. Aren't her projects awesome?

Okay 'nuf of my yappin. Kasey has a sweet tutorial for ya today!

**********************************************************************************
Hi everyone!! My name is Kasey from Little Brick House and I am so grateful to be here today at Halsey's blog to show you a really simple and really [cheap] way to create some nifty wall-art [because we all know we can never have enough wall-art]!

But first can I just say how much I adore Halsey's blog? Seriously it's like a burst of color, everything is just so much fun to read and look at!

Okay so like many of you I am always on the hunt for some treasures to hang on my walls. Whether they be from a store, the goodwill or something I make totally on my own. Today is just that... something that can be made totally on your own and very inexpensively too.

Tools you will need.. 3 pieces of square wood of either an old wall hanging [preferably made out of a hard/wood material] or canvas, Paint [color of your choice] and a paint brush. [Psssst... Stay tuned for the end of the post for a giveaway!]
So here I have my three  square pieces. I believe I had bought these at TJMaxx about 3yrs ago. They were botanical prints but they were darker in color and so they have been sitting in my 'project' closet for some time now.

I had already sprayed painted them with a white primer a few months back and started a drawing but never finished, so they will work perfect for this projects. Remember, they don't have to be this specific size, or shape... anything with a 'hard' surface will do.
For these I am going with a nice fun orange color to match the scheme I have going on with my dining room. Any paint will do, heck I even believe the Dollar Store sells paint? I used Liquitex Basics acrylic paint. I did not have this particular orange so I mixed up some Red and Yellow and than added some white so it wasn't to-to harsh.
I painted over my pieces and I just love how it almost has that 'canvas' effect with the different brush strokes in the paint. The last part is the fun part!
Adding some simple white silhouettes to your fully painted 'wall blocks' creates a simple yet fun way to add some art to any room/space in your home. I did some simple silhouettes of some grass of different lengths.
I did the same for the 3rd piece also... just randomly painting grass along the bottom of the block.
For the middle piece I added a daffodil blowing in the wind to create that little extra character between the other two blocks.
And now they are placed with some of my other pieces of 'art' and photographs and this entire project cost me $0.00.

I already had the materials so all I needed was some time to paint and viola! Simple, inexpensive wall art that you can create totally on your own :)

So there you have it folks. I want to extend an big big THANK YOU to Halsey for inviting me over and sharing with you my quick-simple and inexpensive wall-art tutorial , it's been a lot of fun!

********************************************************************************
I am a total sucker for any DIY wall art project and Kasey totally rocks! I love, love, love the orange. It provides the right *pop* to her dining room.

So now for the exciting news!

Kasey runs a lil' etsy shop called  Little Brick House Studio, where she currently sells fun, modern, and colorful digital prints, photography, and canvas art (coming soon)!
