Feature Friday

posted on: Friday, July 15, 2011

Seriously, it's already Friday? It seems that as soon as the warm weather arrives the days start to fly by--before I know it football season will start, the snow will return, and my shorts will disappear into my closet for another eight months.

BUT, while the weather is good and in prime condition for outdoor spray painting projects I thought I would motivate ya'll today with some awesome projects!

Enjoy!

And if you haven't had a chance yet, check out this week's giveaway for a chance to loose three inches off your waist in one hour.

No jokes.

I promise, pinky promise. Cross my heart....

Get Me Skinny Giveaway!

posted on: Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Before I had Punk I would work out two hours a day, eat salads for lunch, and avoid the temptation of  cupcakes, grease, and carbs.

Now that I am a Mom I have come to embrace a new lifestyle that is full of cookie eating contests and ice cream sundaes.

While I am happy and completely satisfied with where my life has taken me sometimes I wish there was a Fairy Godmother that could slim me down for important days--like going to the beach, attending a wedding, and a long overdue date night.

Well a few weeks ago my Fairy Godmother arrived. Shelby, an Independent Beauty Consultant, from It Works! approached me about reviewing one of their amazing products.

I received the Ultimate Body Applicator, which was a miracle working machine.

You can expect "ultimate" results with this amazing 45-minute body Applicator! The Ultimate Body Applicator is a non-woven cloth wrap that has been infused with a powerful, botanically-based formula to deliver maximum tightening, toning, and firming results when applied to the skin. It continuously hydrates for firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite and skin slackening. Results can be seen in as little as 45 minutes. It Works also offers many other great products in addition to the Ultimate Body Applicator to promote a healthy life, and to get you looking younger!
Now I want ya'll to meet my pooch (I'm sure I will regret posting this picture in the a.m). I have gained a little wait lately. I'm not sure if it is noticable or not, but it makes wearing clothes uncomfortable. My pants feel a little snug, my shirts seems a little too tight, and my underwear is rubbing me in all the wrong places.

yuckers ;(

This little package was the miracle worker.

So here's the downlow on the Ultimate Body Applicator:

Before putting the wrap on I body measured the desired area that wished to shrink.

I measured three different points on my body:

Three inches above my navel
Smallest area around my waist
Widest part of my hips

I learned that I have some baby making hips. Unfortunately, Punk decided not to use them to enter this world....

Once I applied the wrap I then used Seran wrap to hold it in place.

One hour later I removed the wrap and measured myself again in the same areas.

I went from...

31" to 28.5" three inches above my naval
30" to 27" around the smallest part of my waist
37" to 35" around the widest part of my hips.

Two days later....

I still measure less then my original size and maybe just maybe I will get Hunk to take me out on one of those overdue dates this week.

 mmkay, Honey???

I heart boutiques....

Have you ever been to a store where you fall in love with all of their products and you wouldn't think twice about renting a U-Haul and buying the whole store out?

No. Well, I guess it is just me.

When I walk into Raffia's (which is owned by the same gals that run my favorite scrapbookin' joint) I start to drool.

Lots and lots of drooling happens.
I drooled over this lamp. Luckily, I didn't get to close to slobber on it because this puppy's lamp shade is made out of scrapbooking paper and the milk glass base is so freaking cute.  What an awesome DIY project.
My wish list includes a big plush white couch. Punk holds me back from making such a purchase.
I am not much of a baker, but this room makes me want to pull out the kitchen aid, cupcake tins, and whip up a big batch of fluffy cupcakes.
 Aren't these curtains gorgeous?!
Isn't this an adorable idea for a onesie?
I laughed when I saw this picture because it is suppose to say, "Wash, Dry, Fold, Repeat." Not "Wash, Dry, OLD, Repeat..."

But doing laundry does sometimes get really old.
Is this an amazing bed set or what? I would love to make this same bed set using Amy Butler's Full Moon Polka Dot fabric.
 DIY chandelier?
I can see myself sprucing up my closet in the near future....
Who knew a clothes drying rack could be so hip?

What to learn more about Raffia's?

Check them out here!
