{turquoise end table}

I believe in finding things cheap. I mean really cheap. It doesn't matter how ugly the piece is, I enjoy the adventure of making it into something cool. This table for example came from the thrift store. I managed not only to score this table, but to kids chairs, and a sweet yellow chair which has now found a home in my bedroom.

this table was a bit rickety and had a sticky funk stuck to the top of it, but I knew with a little spray paint and some tender lovin' care it would be beautiful.

Now when it came to redoing the table the first thing you should do is prime. Repeat: Primer. It should become your new best friend. It not only saves you time, but it saves your pointer finger. The difference between using and not using primer is about four coats! And it is cheap. So don't skimp on the primer.

Once I had primed the table and let it dry for about 30 minutes I was then able to spray paint the table. My love for Krylon is unending and this table is another example of it's amazing power.

Once I primed and spray painted the table I moved onto glazing. There are a thousand tutorials on how to glaze, but this one by all things thrifty is amazing.

Once I finished I then put some crates that I got at a garage sale on the bottom. Not only do they hide my punk's toys, but they are great for putting away random junk.

Enjoy!
