{Tutorial Tuesday} Fabric Flower Earrings

posted on: Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Sorry for no post earlier this morning. Hunk and I were at the hospital with Punk again. The Doc is trying to slap the silly out of his RSV. Yeah, slap the silly, it's a medical term. His RSV wouldn't be such a huge issue but since Punk was born with Chronic Lung Disease they are being extra cautious.  Soooo, I am going to call that my excuse for the lame-o post yesterday and the late post today.

We can still be friends right?

So I have been working on cleaning my craft area. Maybe I should specify. I have been trying to find the floor. I know it is there somewhere......

Part of my "cleaning process" has been trying to figure out what fabric scraps to keep and what scraps to chuck out.
I dug around my scraps and pulled out some fabric from Riley Blake. I then used the Sizzix's Original Flower Layer on my Big Kick. I cut out the smallest flower on the die.

I then hot dog folded the flower, maybe hamburger folded. not quite sure which one. Anyway, I put a dab of hot glue in the center of the flower and then folded it into fourths.

Then I glued each of the folded pieces to a small fabric circle. When I say small, I mean small. like skittle size small.

Kapeesh?
When the fabric pieces dried I glued a swarovski crystal in the center and then I used E6000 and glued a earring back to the backside of the fabric flower.
Voila.

Now, time to go cuddle my two sick babies. Yeah, one of those babies is sick Hunk.

P.S. Here's where I am partying! P.S.S. Checkout this week's AWESOME giveaway from ShicShoppe!
