Blasted Computer....

Flippin' monkeys! Holy Mother Teresa!  Dang Nambit!

Yep, just a few of the random thoughts that went through my head over the last few days....my computer went on the fritz. tear.

So ya'll will get graced with this face while I try to figure out the lil' ole problem-o.
On a more random and probably more productive note I was asked earlier this week how I adjusted my blog widths. Well, major disclaimer, I am no expert in html or blogging, so take what I have to say with the knowledge that I am not a professio-naaaallll...

How to adjust widths:

Click on Dashboard
Click on Design
Click on Template Designer
Once in Template Designer scroll down to where it says "Adjust Widths"
Now adjust the width to what you want, for instance, my blog is 1000 px and my right sidebar is 290 px.
Once you have found the perfect width for your blog click "Apply to Blog."

Easy Peasy folks!

{Feature Friday} Valentine's Printables

posted on: Thursday, February 10, 2011

I am sure none of you have procrastinated with getting your pretties together for Valentine's Day. So these FREE printables will not apply to you because of course you are prepared. SILENCE....FINE, I admit! I am talking about myself.....little confession:  I still haven't sent out Valentine's yet. FLIP.
What an awesome "love" eye chart from She Wear Flowers

I love Sprik Space, she makes so many amazing printables! Check out her awesome Valentine's selection.
I have a secret crush on Kim from TomKat Studio, she rocks! Doesn't this printable make you want to get married again....not quiet sure how Hunk is going to feel about that when he reads this....
Check out this printable pillow box by Skip to my Lou! Holy cuteness...
Want a great topper for all those school V-Day parties? Creations from my Heart has you covered...
And last, but not least, "Get Your Cupid On" over at Flamingo Toes. ha. HA. HAHA.

Well there it is, and for all you love day procrastinators (myself included)...I suggest making your dinner reservations sooner then later....minor detail in the whole Valentine's Day schedule thing.

"Holy Balls!"......

...was Hunk's reaction when he walked into the house last night. Earlier that day I was in Target scanning the Valentine's candy selection when a lady walked by with a bag of balls in her cart. I got kind of giddy because they weren't just any kind of balls...
they were the same kind of balls that are in the playpen at McDonald. Remember those? Haha. I remember when I was little I would pretend I was drowning, then I would pop out the "ball" water and scare my sisters. Yeah, those were the one's in her cart.

It wasn't that I wanted them....Punk "needed" them. *wink

Punk was beside himself with excitement when we got home. He kicked them around and threw them down the stairs and across the house. The novelty had worn off by this morning when he became more interested in a Lady and the Tramp cardboard book.

However, I know that everytime I dump the balls out of their bag that little glimmer of happiness will feel eyes and for a few minutes and he will is content playing by himself....which to me, is worth all the money in the world.

On a more random note...

Last night I made Valentine's Day Cookies with my little Cub Scouts. When I got home Hunk and I decorated the lil' pieces of heaven with conversation hearts and Red Hots. Maybe it is just me but I only enjoy eating Red Hots when they are adorned across a sugar cookie lathered in frosting. weird.
Do you think Hunk will get the point when I give him this lovely?

More of that fluffy white stuff and a winner....

Remember that one time during a complete whiteout I decided to take pictures while driving my car (I guess I did put the camera down during the "complete" white knuckle parts of my drive).
Yeah, well I obviously didn't learn my lesson....at least this time there was some sun to brighten the day.

So while the sun did come out today it was still nice and chilly. The kind of chilly that makes thermal underwear fashion.

What would be the most fashionable accessory to go along with nice, red long johns? How about a hat from Jane Henry?
And today, #87 Becky @ I Burned the Brownies has  WON a nifty newsboy hat from Jane Henry!

Yeah, Congrats Becky!

If you didn't win, don't feel sad. Jane Henry is still offering 15% off your entire purchase.

{Tutorial Tuesday} Camera Strap

posted on: Tuesday, February 8, 2011

So I gave my camera strap some love yesterday. And I figured that since there are many, a lot, a big whoppin' huge handful of tutorials out there on how to make camera straps I wouldn't make a tutorial because, well, because there is no point in repeating history, right? So I figured I would make today fun and I would direct you to some of  favorites camera strap lovin' ladies.

Tatertots and Jello provides you with a ruffled camera strap
Tip Nut has SIXTEEN different camera strap tutorials WOW!
Skip to my Lou has a cute strap that can be reversible
Crap I've made sewed her strap onto the existing strap hardware.

I got the tutorial for my camera strap from The Cottage Home.

I made a few adjustments for my strap. When you see the look at the tutorial you will see that Lindsay used fusible fleece to pad the inside of her strap. The roads were a death trap yesterday I figured I wouldn't detour across town for some silly fleece so I just used what I had at home...which was an old jersey sweater. Few cuts and stitches later and voila!

Enjoy! If you have a camera strap idea that you would love to share feel free to hit me up! ALSO.....don't forget that Wednesday is the last day to take a chance to win a sweet newsboy hat from Jane Henry.

IF you want a chance to win hustle over here!
